Overview
This methodological paper illustrates four-quadrant relationship data analysis using integrated mixed-method data about homework learning from 27 eleventh-grade students. The analysis combines quantitative, quantitized, and qualitative information to visualize relationships and identify inter-individual groups from person-specific intra-individual data. It also demonstrates how qualitative information can reveal conditional information and how broadly shared responses may function as initial conditions.
Topics covered
Exploratory visualization of relationships among different forms of integrated data.
Identification of inter-individual groups without excluding person-specific or emerging information at the outset.
The roles of qualitative data, conditional information, and initial conditions in explaining the homework-learning situation.
